They are investing in Alpheya, a new venture that will create a tailored wealth management technology platform for asset and wealth managers in MENA. With its headquarters located in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Alpheya is anticipated to begin providing client services in 2024.

Julius Baer is selling Kairos to Italian asset management Anima
Anima, an Italian asset management, has signed a formal agreement to acquire Julius Baer's Kairos. Since 2021, the Italian asset and wealth management firm Kairos has been a member of the Julius Baer Group, with Kairos management holding an approximate 35% stake. The acquisition is anticipated to close in the spring of 2024.
Absa in Mauritius snaps up HSBC assets
Absa Bank (Mauritius) has agreed to purchase the domestic wealth and personal banking and business banking businesses of HSBC in Mauritius. The deal between Absa and HSBC in Mauritius is subject to regulatory and other approvals. In addition, the transaction proves Absa Mauritius’ commitment to growing as an influential role-player in the country’s economy.
