Goldman Sachs options to purchase Melita
Melita is set to be purchased from EQT by Goldman Sachs Alternatives’ Infrastructure division. Melita is a fully integrated digital infrastructure owner and operator that was founded in 1992 supplying data centre solutions, mobile connectivity, and broadband to homes and companies throughout Malta. Collectively, the company’s tower infrastructure portfolio providing statewide 5G coverage, gigabit speed fixed line network that passes 99% of Maltese premises.
Tavistock to buy UK asset manager Alpha Beta Partners
Tavistock has acquired Alpha Beta Partners (ABP), a London and Bath-based asset management company with nearly £3bn ($.76bn) in assets under management. This move is set to scale Tavistock’s asset management capabilities and aligns with its focus on offering investment solutions to third party advice firms and networks, and retail clients.
Steward adds over $850m in assets with Mainstay Wealth Management
Hybrid RIA Steward Partners has acquired Mainstay Wealth Management, expanding its New Jersey foothold. The move adds four advisors and over $850m in assets under management to Steward Partners’ Legacy Division. This acquisition is also said to enhance the firm’s presence in the region with a new office in Riverdale.
Robinhood to buy portfolio management platform TradePMR for $300m
Trading app Robinhood Markets has reached a cash-stock deal worth around $300m to acquire TradePMR, a custodial and portfolio management platform for registered investment advisors (RIAs). TradePMR, with over 25 years of industry experience, has more than $40bn in assets under administration. The partnership between Robinhood and TradePMR is expected to create a referral programme connecting investors to a network of fiduciary advisors.
